I found a recent clip by Rita Coolidge. I think that song is so appropriate when grieving.
My thoughts are, when we grieve, why are we actually grieving, for the lost contact, the lost of continuitiy of feeling or what?

well,i think we actually grieving for
the lost part inside of our soul, for the part that already belong to somebody, because then we loosing that person that part inside are dying.....
I sometimes think that such grieving is actually an expression of the fear that such a miracle as love might not happen again,,, and yet, we know it can and it will, if only we try.
And to answer your question, I think it's the lost continuity of feeling, in that I believe we're all capable of falling in love with several people (But not at the same time, that could be dangerous to one's health, I don't want to get hit by a flying shoe in back of the head)
But it doesn't help if you miss that particular person; then that's all the more tangible.
